A tragic helicopter accident in Nuwakot District has resulted in the deaths of all five people on board.
An Air Dynasty helicopter crashed in Shivapuri Rural Municipality, claiming the lives of the pilot, Captain Arun Malla, and four Chinese nationals. The bodies of all victims have been recovered from the crash site.
In a statement issued by the Tribhuvan International Airport Civil Aviation Office, it has been mentioned that the crashed helicopter lost contact 3 minutes after taking off from Kathmandu.
After 3 minutes, contact with Kathmandu was lost. It has been confirmed that there was an accident at a place called 7 Suryachaur’, the statement said.
Police said that 5 people died in the accident. Among the dead, 4 passengers were Chinese nationals.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
