A launch RTX 5090 will be a problem | Atomix

During CESO 2025, NVIDIA revealed its RTX 50 line. The most interesting thing is that the company assured that the 5080 and 5090 cards will be available starting next January 30. However, it seems that getting one of these pieces of hardware will be more difficult than some fans expect.

Although NVIDIA continues to ensure that all interested parties will be able to purchase an RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 later this month, some companies have indicated that there will not be enough units to satisfy public interest. In this case, PowerGPU, who are dedicated to building and selling PCs, have mentioned that everyone who wants a computer with one of the new graphics cards will have to be patient, since units will be scarce. This is what they commented:

“The launch of the RTX 5090 will be the worst in terms of availability. “They have already told us to expect this to be the case for the first 3 months.”

Warning you all now.

The launch of the RTX 5090 will be the worst when it comes to availability. Already being told to expect it to be that way for the first 3 months.

Along with this, VideoCardz, NVIDIA partners who will sell the new RTX at launch, assure that their models will not be ready by January 30, and they hope to have enough units until mid-February. As usually happens in these cases, this problem is the result of a bug created by NVIDIA.

VideoCardz has pointed out that NVIDIA was late in delivering the final version of the BIOS for the new graphics cards. This prevented the company’s manufacturing partners from being able to advance GPU production before the end of 2024. Thus, there are not enough units to satisfy initial demand.

We remind you that the NVIDIA RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 will be available from January 30, but getting one of these will be a problem. On related topics, you can learn more about the new graphics cards here. Likewise, these are the most used graphics cards on Steam.

Author’s Note:

This is a serious problem. Although it is probably not its intention, NVIDIA is encouraging the resale business by not providing the necessary tools for manufacturers to meet the high demand for these graphics cards, and this only ends up hurting users.
