Dharan, Nepal – A tragic incident occurred in Dharan on Tuesday afternoon when a 14-year-old girl was fatally stabbed. Her mother was also seriously injured in the attack.
According to local police, Bobin Baral, a 33-year-old man from Sankhuwasabha, attacked the mother and daughter with a khukuri knife. Both victims were rushed to BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences for medical treatment, but unfortunately, the daughter succumbed to her injuries.
The mother remains hospitalized in critical condition. The suspect, Baral, was apprehended by the local police team and is currently in custody. The motive behind the attack is still under investigation.
