By Our Correspondent, Butwal, Oct. 27: The 13th Saraya Dance was held in the courtyard of Durga Temple at  Jitgadhi, Butwal.

Rooted in religious faith and traditional culture, the Saraya Dance has played an important role in preserving Nepali traditions and cultural identity.

Originally performed in the Arghakhanchi and Gulmi districts after Dashain until the full moon, the dance was celebrated as a victory festival. It later spread to the Tarai

with migration.
